Gowen, Carlson R. “Snooks”, 76, passed away November 4, 2008, at Norton Audubon Hospital.
He was a former employee of Fawcett Printing Company, owner of Gowen’s Truck Wash, a member of the Sunset Masonic Lodge (Shively) and he attended Southside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Edith Gowen; 2 children, Danny Gowen (Sherry) and Charlotte Van Meter; grandchildren, Ryan Edlin and Miranda Hale; great-granddaughter, Alaina Edlin; step-grandchildren Lindsey and Savannah Van Meter; brother, Jesse Gowen (Marian); family friend, Gertie Kepley and several nieces and nephews.
His service will be 1pm Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation will be Friday 1pm-9pm and Saturday after 10am at the funeral home.
