Mr. Joseph Domenici, age 74, of Woburn formerly of Medford and Somerville, died November 4th, at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian G. (Sousa). Born in Boston he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Falcone) Domenici.
Joseph was a Woburn resident for thirty years. He retired in the late 1990's after working for many years as a truck driver. He retired from the J & C Adams Window and Door Co. of Cambridge and prior to that he was employed by the Rappoli Co. of Somerville and Martignetti’s on Mishawam Rd. in Woburn.
Joseph was mostly devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Joseph was a very handy guy and loved working around his home. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle. He was also a CB Radio enthusiast and was the former president of the Flying Tigers CB Radio Club.
In addition to his late wife and parents, Joseph is predeceased by his sisters, Jennie Lovejoy, Connie Barochiere, Joanne DiGirolamo and Helen Bedell, and brothers, Frank Ruggiero, Raymond, Chester, Alfred and Albert Domenici. He is also predeceased by his son-in-law, the late James Nowell. He is survived by his daughters, Paula Nowell of Woburn, Sandra Nowell and her husband Mark of Billerica, Sharon Fisher of Woburn and Pamela Houston of Billerica. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Stephen Nowell, Ryan and Kelcie Fisher, Kyle and Courtney Houston and is further survived by one sister, Frances Cerra and her husband Phil of Woburn.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, Saturday, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to M.G.H Cancer Center, c/o Kate Todd, Cancer Center Development Office, 165 Cambridge St., suite 600, Boston, MA 02114-2792
