Nancy L. Pontonio 36, of Rathbun St. died Monday at the UMASS Medical Center in Worcester, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Michael D. Pontonio. Nancy was born in New Haven, CT a daughter of Andre E. and Aline L. (Harpin) Allard of N. Smithfield. She was a housekeeper for Westboro State Hospital for twelve years. Nancy was a den mother for the Girl Scouts Troup # 153. She enjoyed arts and crafts.
Besides her husband and parents she leaves a daughter Erica Pontonio, five brothers, Rene J., John E., Francis C., and Andre H. Allard, all of N. Smithfield, and Gerald G. Allard of Woonsocket, and two sisters, Vivian E. Laroche of N. Smithfield and Therese Y. Norman of Nasonville.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Church St. Slatersville. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
