Gail M. Connor, 74, passed away at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Burlington on November 2nd, 2008. She was born in Malden on February 26th, 1934 to her parents Thomas and Lenora (Doonan) Connor. Gail has been a life long resident of Malden. She is a graduate of the former Girls Catholic High School. For many years, she worked for the New England Telephone Company in Malden. She later moved on to the American Telephone and Telegraph Company where she was part of the International Training and Communication Division. Gail has been a faithful parishioner at Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden, serving as a Parish Lector for many years. She enjoyed travel, especially with her friends from the International Training and Communication Division at AT&T. Gail had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed photography, painting, gardening and golfing. She also enjoyed deep sea fishing, taking along some of her nieces and nephews on occasion. Gail was very family oriented. Her home on Quincy Street was the epicenter of her family life. She has had many memorable gatherings in her time including the annual Easter Egg hunt. She is survived by her siblings, Barbara McGonagle of Medford, Helen Murphy and her husband John of Melrose and Roberta Fahey and her husband Peter of Medford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Gail was predeceased by her sister Lenora “Sally” Connor; her brother Thomas Connor; and by her brother-in-law Francis McGonagle. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Friday November 7th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services on Friday will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday November 6th from 4-8 PM.
