Nelly Somme Gonat Chamberlain, 86, of 11 Chippechaug Trail, Masons Island, mystic, passed away Monday. She was the wife of Bart E. Chamberlain.
Nelly was employed at the Harbor View Restaurant in Stonington for many years and was always affectionately known as “The French Lady”.
A Service to celebrate her life will be held at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Friday at 4pm. The Rev. Stacey Emerson, Pastor of Union Baptist Church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Beacon Hospice of Mystic or Visiting Nurse’s Association of S.E.C.T.
