Obituary

Alma Wannamaker, 89, of North Charleston, widow of William H. Wannamaker died Monday, November 3, 2008 at Trident Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 11 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 61, Charleston.
Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 6 until 8 o’clock Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Wannamaker was born March 15, 1919 in Walterboro, daughter of the late Luther and Mae Crosby Avant. She attended Walterboro schools. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was a member of Doorway Baptist Church and retired from JC Penney as a sales clerk.

Surviving are:
3 daughters: Mary Margaret Daniels of Summerville, Alma Virginia West of Summerville and Theresa Ann Taylor of Edgewater, Florida.
2 sisters: Ruth Anderson of Deland, Florida and Ruby Rumph of Williston, South Carolina
9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and 9 step great grandchildren
