Mabel A. (Johnson) Gustafson 99 died Sunday October 26th. She was the wife for 57 years to the late Clarence R. Gustafson.
Mabel was born in Brockton and lived most of her life there, moving in her later years Maine to be with her daughter. She had worked at the Stacy Adams Shoe Factory until its closing and for Catholic Charities @ Congregate Housing in Brockton before her retirement. She was an avid bowler and an avid reader.
She was dedicated to her family, children and grandchildren, and we feel blessed that she shared her life with us. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was the devoted mother of Ann C. LaGarde and her husband Roy Gorman of Buxton, ME grandmother of Jacqueline Pike and her husband Steven, Donna Brady and her husband Mark and Jane Mallery, great-grandmother of Derek Brady, Kristen Hurley, and Cameron and Brandon Pike, great great-grandmother of Jonathan, Kyle and Vanessa Hurley, Braydon Pike and Cooper Brady. She was predeceased by her three brothers John (Buddy) Jr., Herbert and Eldon Johnson and one sister Caroline Burrill.
Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service to be held Saturday November 15th at 11:30 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman.
