Anna M. Luongo, a Medford resident for over forty years, passed away at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester, on Thursday, April 17,. The wife of the late Joseph A. Luongo she was ninety-two years old.
Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Clorina (Nigro) and Carmen DeCristoforo.
Anna devoted herself to raising her family, she loved them and her friends especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was a member of the Forever Young Club and the Italian Sr. Citizen Club of Medford.
She is survived by her son Angelo and his wife Sandra of Stoneham, a daughter Claire Garrett and her husband Michael of Wakefield. Her daughter in law Mary Luongo of Walpole. Her grandchildren Joseph, Stephen, Richard, John, Mark, David, Maryanne, Lorrie and Michael. And also seven loving great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by husband John A., her son John A. Jr., two brothers; Ralph and Emilio DeCristoforo, three sisters; Emily Pope, Mary DelBene and Marcia DeCristoforo.
Her funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, April 22, at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
