Hardiman of Brockton, April 18, 2003, Eileen M. (Lawton) Hardiman, 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Gerard J. “Red” Hardiman. Beloved mother of Jerry Hardiman of Middleboro, John Hardiman of Bridgewater, Judith Ferzoco of Stoughton, James Hardiman of Abington and Jayne Hardiman of VA. Dear sister of John Lawton of Braintree, Doris McCarthy of Milton, Robert Lawton of Milton and Joan Connolly of Quincy. Sister in law of Anne Hardiman of Brockton.

Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Edward Church at 9 am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 10:45 am. Visiting Hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140.

Obituary Information

Mrs. Hardiman died Friday morning at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Care Center after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Dorchester, daughter of the late John P. and Margaret (Buckley) Lawton. She was a graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Boston. She had been a resident of Brockton for 47 years and was employed as a Teacher’s aide in the Brockton School system for over 30 years many years of those years at the Howard School.

She is survived by, 3 sons Jerry Hardiman of Middleboro, John Hardiman of Bridgewater, James Hardiman of Abington, 2 daughters, Judith Ferzoco of Stoughton and Jayne Hardiman of Lorton, VA, 2 brothers John Lawton of Braintree, Robert Lawton of Milton, 2 sisters Doris McCarthy of Milton and Joan Connolly of Quincy, a sister in law Anne Hardiman of Brockton, 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

She was the wife of the late Gerard J. “Red” Hardiman
