MERRITT, Dorothy L. (Caprigno)- Of Naples, Florida, formerly of Malden, October 31st. Devoted wife of the late Raymond L. Merritt. Beloved mother of Bernice Higdon of Acton, Deborah Kenney of Brockton, Cynthia Palmisano of Florida, Joseph R. Merritt of Arizona, Daniel J. Merritt of North Easton and David V. Merritt of Brockton. Lovingly survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street (Maplewood Square) on Wednesday morning, November 5th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10 o'clock. Born in Boston and a longtime Malden resident until moving to her daughters home in Florida almost 4 years ago, Dorothy at 90 years of age, passed away at the Avow Hospice late Friday evening. For many years until her retirement in the mid 1980's Dorothy worked in the cafeteria at the BB Junior High School and was a longtime member of the Malden Italian American Club.
