Irene S. Bissonnette, 94, of Manchester, died October 31, 2008 at Villa Crest Health Care Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Victoriaville, Quebec, July 3, 1914 and was a daughter of John and Odemie (Labbe) Genest. She lived most of her life in Manchester and had been a resident at Villa Crest for many years.
Mrs. Bissonnette worked several years as an LPN at the Elliot Hospital and had been active with the NH Symphony Associates.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
She was married to Conrad Bissonnette who died in 1989.
Family members include a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Joan) Laflam of Washington, DC; a son, C. Paul Bissonnette of the Villages, Florida; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Rachel Parenteau of Warwick, RI; several nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at St. Anthony Church. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
