Manchester– Rachel Sally Howell, 91, died October 31, 2008 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester on December 1, 1916 the daughter of Evarist and Marie (Fontaine) Lemire. She had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Prior to her retirement she worked for St. Peter’s Home and Leavitt’s for 13 years. She was a member of St. Anne Sodality of St. Jean Baptist Parish.
She was predeceased by her first husband Laurea Pruneau, and her second husband Charles Howell.
Family members include 2 sons Richard Pruneau of Andover MA, Dennis Pruneau of Cocoa Beach FL., and 1 daughter Lorraine Duval of Manchester, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great greatgrandchild.
Services: A calling hour will be on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 676 Montgomery St. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 am in Parish of the Transfiguration.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
