Christine A. Heinz, 87, passed away at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Danvers on October 28th, 2008. She was born in Malden on March 5th, 1921 to her parents Marie (Chisholm) and James McDermod. Christine was raised in Malden and is a graduate of Cheverus High School. Christine spent most of her adult life living in Medford. She also resided in Danvers and Stoneham after moving from Medford. For several years she worked as an executive secretary at the Finest Stores Supermarket in Somerville. Upon her retirement from Finest, she accepted a position as secretary at the Immaculate Conception Parish Grammar School in Malden. She retired after serving the school for over 15 years. Christine was also a volunteer at the Medford Public Library and the Stoneham Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her children; Thomas Heinz and his wife Carolyn of Medford, William Heinz of Saugus, Paula Heinz and her partner Deanna Grayton of Danvers, Christopher Heinz and his wife Valerie of Stafford, VA and David Heinz and his wife Jessica of TN; and by her brother Leo McDermod of Deerfield Beach, FL. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Christine was predeceased by her husband Thomas Heinz and by her siblings Louise Bartlett, Dorothy Cook and James McDermod. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Monday November 3rd at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday November 2nd from 2-6 PM.
