Gloria M. (Manfra) Del Po, died peacefully on April 16, 2003 at the Milford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Del Po whom she married on April 16, 1950 at the St. Joseph’s Church in Medford.She was born in Medford on March 9, 1927 a daughter of the late Henry and Malverina (DeAngelis) Manfra. She was a Milford resident, formerly of Revere and Medford.To continue her education, she attended Massasoit Community College at age 53 and earned her associates degree. Mrs. Del Po was employed as a secretary for the Department of Employment and Training for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 15 years until her retirement.Her hobbies include bowling, gardening, flower arranging, oil painting; she was also an avid reader. A devoted mother and grandmother she was once a den mother for her son’s Cub Scout troop and just adored spending time with her two grandchildren.She was the loving mother of John A. Del Po of Shrewsbury and Kenneth P. Del Po of Somerville. Loving mother-in-law of Eleanor M. Duduch and cherished grandmother of Michela and Peter Del Po, both of Shrewsbury. Dear sister of Rita McMahon of Arlington, Malverina “Chickie” Myles of Stoneham and the late Henry Manfra and Dorothy Ricci. Devoted sister-in-law of Anne Manfra of Medford, Michael Ricci of Milford and John Myles of Stoneham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as Theresa & Ralph Di Donato of Medford and Tina & Al Scandone of Milford.Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, MA 02155, Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
