Hazel A. Hanson, 94, of Chases Grove, Derry, NH died Wednesday April 16, 2003 in the Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill, Ma. Mrs. Hanson was born in Methuen, Ma, on April 10, 1909 the daughter of the late Van and Olive (Young) Smith. She had resided in Derry for more than 50 years, formerly living in Methuen. She had been employed by the AT Harris Co. in Derry as a Supervisor. She was a member of the North Salem United Methodist Church where she had been active in the Women’s Society. She was also a member of the Nutfield Grange.
She is survived by one nephew, William Chase Jr., Apollo Beach, Fl, two nieces, Hazel Eldredge, Apollo Beach, Fl, Elaine Heinrich, Derry, also many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester Hanson in 1984.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, private graveside services will be held at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery, East Derry. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Salem United Methodist Church, 389 N. Main St., Salem, NH 03073.
