MRS. DORIS J. (JEWER) SHEEHAN, a resident of Medford, Massachusetts, for more than 50 years and beloved wife of the late Charles F. Sheehan, died in Billerica on Saturday Morning, October 26, 2008. She was 84 years old.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on January 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Harriett (Franch) Jewer. Doris was an amazingly devoted mother and grandmother too her large family. Her family was her life.
She was the loving mother of Charlie J. and his wife Cindy E. Sheehan of Medford, Fran A. and her husband Al Trainor of Peabody, Les D. and his wife Dale Sheehan of Medford, Mike J. and his wife Cathy M. Sheehan of North Reading, Ron A. and his wife Cathy E. Sheehan of Peabody, James K. and his wife Lee Sheehan of Salem, N.H., Kathy S. and her husband Jim Reposa of Billerica and Sandy J. and her husband Sam Spinale of Billerica. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Doris was the devoted sister of the late John "Jack" Jewer and William "Bill" Jewer.
Her funeral was held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were Tuesday, October 28, 2008, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
