John B. Reilly, 57, of New Bedford died Monday October 27, 2008 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Judy (Brackett) Reilly.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late John and Umbelina (Carvalho) Reilly, he lived in New Bedford all of his life
Mr. Reilly was formerly employed as a food service driver for the New Bedford Public School Department until his retirement.
He was an avid Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics, and New York Giants fan. He was an avid reader and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bradford Reilly of New Bedford; four stepchildren, Kenneth Branco of Maynard, Sharen Branco of Rochester, and Michael Branco and Alton Houghton, both of New Bedford; and five grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Todd Dumas.
His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. His family will receive visitors from 6-7 PM prior to the service.
