Evelyn M. Stone, 93, passed away at the Lifecare Center in Stoneham on October 24th, 2008. She was born in Somerville on May 23rd, 1915 to her parents James and Margaret (Lawton) Drinkwater. Evelyn graduated from Somerville High School in 1934. She was a homemaker who lived in Malden for most of her life. Evelyn was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Malden, the Women’s Auxilliary of the Irish American Club in Malden,the Immaculate Conception Parish 60 Club in Malden, and the Immaculate Conception Parish Mother’s Club. She is survived by her sons Willard S. and James both of Malden, and by her daughter Margaret Campeau of Plymouth. She is also survived by her granddaughters Donna and Kerri Stone, and Lauren Campeau. She was predeceased by her husband Willard J. Stone. At the family’s request, services and interment are private.
