WEBSTER - Clarence J. Desaulniers, 87, of 338 Thompson Road, died Friday, October 24, in Hubbard Regional Hospital. His wife of 58 years, Evelyn A. (Waters) Desaulniers, died on February 19 of this year.
He leaves 2 nieces and 2 grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Desaulniers.
He was born in Southbridge, the son of Arthur and Irene (Boisvert) Desaulniers. He lived in Quinebaug, CT for many years before moving to Webster in 2001. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Desaulniers was a truer at the American Optical Company in Southbridge for 42 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Louis Church and a former member of Saint Stephen’s Church in Quinebaug, CT. He belonged to L’Union St. Jean Baptiste in Southbridge for 69 years. He was a member of the American Optical Company Quarter Century Club.
A memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 30, in Saint Louis Church, 15 Lake Street. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street.
