Claire Z. Cournoyer 79, of Roberta Ave. died Monday in The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late William A. Cournoyer. Mrs. Cournoyer was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Alphonse and Blanche (Cayer) Marois. She was an assembler for the former US Rubber Co. for over twenty years. She also worked for Miller Electric and American Tourister.
She is survived by three sons, Richard Cournoyer of Chepachet, Marc Cournoyer of VT, and David Cournoyer of Woonsocket; two daughters, Linda Brunetti of Woonsocket and Cindy Vagnini of Cumberland, and seven grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in the RI Veteran’s Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
