Lillian M. (Romans) Buhl, 98, of Westport passed away Friday. October 24, 2008 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was wife of the late Willard T. Buhl.
Born on May 28, 1910 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late David J. and Rachel L. (Ley) Romans, she was the 2nd of 6 children, she spent her childhood between Glace Bay, Canada and Halifax, Canada. After graduating high school, she enrolled in nurses training at McLean Hospital in MA and graduated in 1931. After graduation she married Willard Buhl and had 2 children, Gloria and Winnie. Mrs. Buhl was a strong self reliant religious person who knew what she wanted and was assertive in getting it. She loved her family and always kept in touch throughout her life. She in turn was deeply loved by family and had many friends.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Ginger Betrano and her husband James of Kennewick, WA and Winifred B. Silverson and her husband John of Arlington, VA; 5 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Calvary Bible Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will be private.
