Westport - Gary R. Scheller, 60, of Westport died at home on October 25, 2008. He was the husband of Cynthia V. (Cooper) Scheller.
Mr. Scheller was born in New York, NY, son of Florence A. (Brendel) Scheller of Holtsville, NY and the late Robert E. Scheller, and resided in Westport for the past 37 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed as a salesman by Westport Marine and was previously employed by Thompson‘s Sport Shop, Seekonk and High Seas Corp. in Westport and Fall River. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the N.R.A. A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, fly tying, hunting, skiing, camping, hiking and gardening.
In addition to his widow and mother, he is survived by a brother: Dennis Scheller of Patchogue, NY; and nephews Wesley and Scott Scheller of Patchogue, NY.
He was brother of the late Geoffrey Scheller.

A memorial service on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Congregational Church of South Dartmouth, 17 Middle Street, S. Dartmouth.
