FALL RIVER … Francisco DoRego, 78, of Fall River died October 25, 2008 at after a long illness.
He was the husband of Fernanda (Cabral) DoRego.
He was born in St. Michael, Azores a son of the late Francisco and Maria (Braga) DoRego and had lived in Fall River since 1978.
He was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church on Alden Street, Fall River.
He was employed as a fisherman on various fishing vessels in New Bedford.
Mr. DoRego enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Survivors include his widow, 3 sons: David DoRego, Joseph DoRego, and Carlos DoRego, a daughter Dolores Oliveira all of Fall River, a sister Deolinda Cabral of Capelas, St. Michaels, Azores, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Francisco DoRego, Jr.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, at 9:30 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, (508-672-0291) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden Street, Fall River. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Tuesday 5 – 8 PM.
