Alberta Louise Haire Wilbourn, age 96, of Water Valley, MS passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Yalobusha County General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. She was born on April 12, 1912 in Arkansas. She was a homemaker, a former Pink Lady, and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS.
The family will receive friends at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Miller presiding. The committal will be held in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Water Valley, MS with Johnny Blackwood, Craig Stewart, Steven Stewart, Rusty Wilbourn, Alan Wilbourn, James Wilbourn, Tyrone Wilbourn, and Kevin Wilbourn serving as pallbearers.
Alberta is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Stewart with husband, Bill; two sons, Marvin Dale Wilbourn with wife, Arlene, and Sammy Lee Wilbourn with wife, Patsy, all of Water Valley, MS; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Johnnie Marvin Wilbourn on February 21, 2008; two sisters, Pearline Haire Brown and Elzora Jacobs; and a brother, Oscar Lee Haire.
