Rose M. Sarno, 83 of the North End of Boston died Thursday after a long illness in the Jewish Rehabilitation Center, Swampscott, MA.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Marrotta) and Luciano LaMattina. Rose was a Homemaker. Beloved wife of the late Marino A. Sarno Jr. Devoted mother of Alfred J. Sarno and his wife Glynda of Florida, Rena Catalanotti and her husband Joe of Milford, Joseph Sarno and his wife Lisa of Ashland, Rosemarie Asci and her husband Robert of Swampscott. Also survived by 8 loving grandchildren. Sister of Jeannette Molinari of Waltham, Carl LaMattina of Watertown, and the late Phyllis Morrone. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
