Philip A. Carlson, 85, of West Boylston died Tuesday, April 8,in the Meadows Nursing Home, Leicester. He leaves one son Philip A. Carlson Jr. of W.Boylston, a Brother Alvar A. Carlson of Worcester. A sister, Eva M. Martinelli, of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. A brother Eric A. Carlson of Worcester predeceased him.
Mr. Carlson was born in Worcester son of Gustaf and Hannah (Sandsten) Carlson lived here all his life. He attended North High School and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School.Mr. Carlson was a machinist for the former Heald Machine Company for 38 years retiring in 1982.He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He was a member of the Worcester County Pistol League.Funeral Services were held Friday 11:00 am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street Worcester. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
