Josephine J. (Devlin) Bland, 73 of New Bedford died October 23, 2008 at Women & Infants Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Ines (Iacoponi) Devlin, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was formerly employed as a CNA with Fairhaven Visiting Nurses Association and later cared for adults with the Adult Family Services.
Survivors include a son, Robert M. Bland, Jr. and his wife Jeannine of Acushnet; 3 daughters, Lynn M. Tremblay and her husband Russ of Southbridge, MA, Judith A. Bland and her companion Adam Medeiros of Dartmouth and Joanne L. St. Amand and her husband Raymond of Fairhaven; a brother, Robert Devlin of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Dianne Spooner of Fairhaven, Sandra Teixeira of Salem, CT and Linda Bramwell of Westport; 3 grandchildren, Sarah, Tyler and Katherine; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Edward J. Devlin, Jr.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 27th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
