Obituary


DRACUT - Kenneth R. Millman, 83, a resident of Dracut for over 50 years, died Saturday evening in the Northwood Nursing Care Center in Lowell. He was the husband of the late Therese E. (Martin) (Duran) Millman.

Born in Chelmsford on August 20, 1925, he was the son of the late Frederick and Katherine (Clark) Millman. He received his education in the Chelmsford school system.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during World War II as a Radarman Third Class in the United States Navy.

Prior to his retirement in 1988, Mr. Millman had been employed for 38 years by the Raytheon Corporation.

He was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut.

He was a member of the East End Club in Lowell, a 27 year member of the American Legion Leo C. Roth Post 315 in Dracut and he enjoyed time with friends at Debbie's Lakeview Lounge in Dracut.

An avid traveler he had been all over the United States in his motor home and also enjoyed trips to Hawaii.

Surviving him are a son Kenneth A. Millman and his companion Rose M. Levasseur of Lowell; two stepsons Roger Duran of Tyngsboro and Richard Duran and his wife Lynn of Dracut; five grandchildren Shane, Sheryl, Sonya and Renee Millman of Lowell and Melissa Millman of Santa Barbara, CA; two great granddaughters Alecsia and Saleena Millman; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Frederick and Chester Millman.

Friends may call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Tuesday from 4 until 6 PM. His Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 AM followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to Massachusetts Special Olympics 450 Maple Street Building One Danvers, MA 01923-4009.
