Raymond W. Reagan, 82, of Mansfield died on Friday October 17, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of Marian B. (Ames) Reagan.
Born in Taunton, MA on October 31, 1925 he was a son of the late William F. and Mary F. (Donnelly) Reagan.
He grew up in Taunton and was educated in Taunton public schools. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the United States Navy serving during WWII. He was honorably discharged on May 5, 1946 with the rank of Seaman First Class.
Mr. Reagan worked as a Sheet Metal Worker for the railroad for over 40 years before retiring from Amtrak.
A dedicated family man, Ray enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, watching sports on television and spending time with loving dog “Max”. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past 53 years and was formerly of Taunton.
In addition to his beloved wife of 61 years he is survived by his devoted children Donna R. Reagan and Kathy A. Reagan both of Mansfield and Stevan R. Reagan and his wife Darlene of Maynard. He was the brother of Frances Thadeu of Taunton and the late Elizabeth Dias, William Reagan and John Reagan. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughters Susan Reagan and Debra Reagan as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday October 20th from 6-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
