Wayne Gray, 56, of White House, Tennessee, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 in Laurel, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, October 19, 2008, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with Rev. John Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Gray was born May 17, 1952 in Winston Salem, North Carolina to Edelle Blount Gray and the late Dan E. Gray. He lived in Irwin County until the age of twenty and lived in White House, TN for the past thirty-six years. Mr. Gray was a truck driver and a former employee of Orkin Pest Control. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War era. Mr. Gray was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Irwin County. He was an avid Hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Gray is survived by his wife, Charlene Gray of White House, TN; children, Danya Gray and Jason Gray both of White House, TN; 4 grandchildren; mother, Edelle B. Gray of Ocilla; sister and brother-in-law, Dian & Johnny Davis of Fitzgerald; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy & Emily Rigdon of Crescent City, FL and Roger Rigdon of S.C. as well as several nieces and nephews.
