Roland A. Marx, 76,a resident of Harmony for the last 46 years died peacefully at Miriam Hospital in Providence on Friday, October 17, 2008. He was predeceased by his wife Agnes M. (Brady) Marx and his two brothers Donald and Freddy. He was the son of the late Gertrude and Andrew Marx.
He was a retired machinist for Edward Parkinson Manufacturing Company formerly in Edmond, RI. He served in the Korean War with the Army Corps of Engineers and was also a past volunteer firefighter for the Harmony Fire Department.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Visitation Monday, October 20, 9:30-10:30 am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial with military honors will follow in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery.
