Virginia G. Stogryn, 79, of Londonderry, NH died Thursday October 16, 2008 at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. Mrs. Stogryn was born in Strafford, NH on April 29, 1929, the daughter of the late Edward L. and Beulah Philbrick. She had resided in Londonderry for the past 30 years, formerly living in the Boston area for many years. She was previously employed at Schraff’s Candies in Charlestown, MA. While caring for children as a childcare provider she touched the lives of many. She was a member and a volunteer with the Londonderry Senior Center, and enjoyed baking, berry picking and playing Bingo.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Stogryn and Cathy Stogryn both of Londonderry, one son, Stephen Stogryn and his wife Jeanne of Norwood, MA, several grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including William Stogryn and his wife Rita of Amesbury, MA and their children William and Stephanie.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, October 19th from 2 – 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Private graveside services were held on Monday at 1:00pm in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mattapan, MA.
