Joseph Bazzano, 79, of Summerville, loving husband of 57 years to Eileen Cusick Bazzano died Thursday morning, October 16, 2008 at Trident Medical Center.
Service and burial will be held at a later date in Massachusetts.

Mr. Bazzano was born March 2, 1929 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, son of the late Luigi and Anna Petruzelo Bazzano. He was a graduate of Pittsfield High School, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed music and dancing. He retired as a winder with General Electric.
Surviving in addition to his wife are:
2 sons and 2 daughters: Louis Bazzano of Summerville, Carrie Clark and her husband Walter of Mount Pleasant, Christine Evans and her husband Steve of Coral Springs, Florida and Joseph Bazzano and his wife Lakey of Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
6 grandchildren: Christopher Yetz, Nicole Clark, Addison Evans, Blaise Evans, Zufan Bazzano and Abel Bazzano.
1 brother and 1 sister: Louis Bazzano of Washington County, New Jersey and Sarah Connor of Saco, Maine.
Several nieces and nephews.
