Cerina (Cordeiro) Dutra, age 75, a lifelong resident of Tiverton. Passed away in Fall River October 15, 2008. Widow of John Dutra. Born in Tiverton, daughter of the late Antone and Constance (Melo) Cordeiro. She was a parishioner of St. Theresa Church, a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, & the Tiverton Senior Citizens Center. She worked for St. Claires Nursing Home in Newport, RI.
She was the Loving Mother of 5 Children: John Dutra of Swansea, Gary Dutra and Deborah Medeiros both of Tiverton, Wendy Carreiro of Somerset, and Lorraine Dutra of E. Providence. 3 Siblings: Gabriel and David Cordeiro, and Connie Cabral all of Tiverton. 6 Grandchildren. 4 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Saturday at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-8 P.M.
