Robert Allan Carlson, age 50, of Linda Lane, Stonington, passed away at Hartford Hospital from injuries recently sustained in an accident.
He was born in Hartford on February 28, 1958 the son of Erick R. Carlson Jr. of Stonington and the late Noella (Parent) Carlson.
After receiving his education, he served in the U.S. Air Force.
Bob enjoyed a distinguished career as a chef, most recently at Elm Ridge Golf Club. Previously, he was employed at other restaurants in the area including Mary’s Italian restaurant in Westerly, Zack’s of Stonington, Lorelei Restaurant in Groton, Floodtide Restaurant, and Charlie’s in Waterford.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Karyn Oeinck of Ledyard; his children, Jeffrey & Erica Carlson of New Orleans, LA; a nephew, James Oeinck of Ledyard, aunts, uncles, and cousins; a his life companion of 22 years, Barbara Thompson of Stonington.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Enders Island Chapel, Mystic on Saturday, Nov. 1st at 2pm. There will be no visitation.
