Mary E. (Burt) Lunardo, age 80, died Monday evening, October 13, 2008, at the Hammersmith Nursing Home in Saugus, after a brief illness. Born in Cambridge, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Gertrude (Collins) & James Burt.
Mary was a Woburn resident for most of her life. She worked at the Winfield-Brooks Chemical Co. of Woburn, from 1975 to her retirement in 1990. In her retirement Mary loved being with her family, most especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Lunardo. Devoted mother of Patricia Harrington, her husband Peter and Mary Ellen Muise all of Woburn, Pauline McGlinchey and her husband Richard of Wilmington, Doris Bartick and her husband Paul of Nashua, NH, and the late Robert Lunardo. Also survived by 6 loving grandchildren and 10 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Gertrude Bruno of Ohio and James Burt of Adams, MA.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Friday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
