Obituary

LOWELL - Laura M. (Frechette) Riendeau, life long resident of Lowell, age 100, died on October 12, at D'Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell. She was the widow of Rosario A. Riendeau.

Born in Lowell, MA on September 28, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Severine (Guillemette) Frechette. She attended schools in Lowell.

In her early years, Laura was a Lowell Mill Girl. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by Sparks Department Store as a buyer for the lingerie department.

Her survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Desrochers and her husband Emile, and her son Mr. Armand Riendeau and his wife Terri both of Dracut; one sister, Rita Donahue of Lowell; one brother Raymond Frechette of Dracut; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Laura was predeceased by six sisters Mrs. Bertha Frappier, Mrs. Jeannette Reed, Mrs. Julie McKeon, Mrs. Cecile McCloud, Mrs. Anita McArdle, and Doris Frechette, and four brothers Mr. Leo Frechette, Mr. Joseph Frechette, Mr. Sam Frechette, and Mr. Armand Frechette.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Wednesday, October 15th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Her Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday October 16th at 8 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 AM at St. Marguerite D'Youville Parish at Ste. Therese Church, 1340 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. For online condolences please use the icon below.
