Quincy, Nancy Jean Dixon, a former Taunton resident for over twenty nine years, died Friday October 10th 2008, suddenly at Quincy Medical Center. She was seventy three years of age. She was the wife of the late Billy Schuttauf. She was born in Taunton. Daughter of the late Robert and Bernice (Pring) Dixon. She graduated from Taunton High School class of 1951. She also received her associate degree from Quincy college at the age of sixty. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary at Boston University and she had also worked for the Copper Craft Guild in Taunton. At the time of her death, she resided in Norwell. She had also lived in Raynham and Hingham. When living in Taunton, she was a long time member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church. She also belonged to the First Congregational Church in Hanover. She was also a longtime member of The Order of Eastern Star Rose Croix Chapter 79 of Taunton. She enjoyed reading, she was very musically inclined, and adored her grandchildren. She leaves three daughters Mrs. Donald (Lynn) White of Hanover, Ms. Karen Hall of North Carolina, and Mrs. Lincoln (Sherry) Demoura of Taunton. She also survived by two sons Billy Schuttauf and his wife Mary Bourget of Monson and Mark Schuttauf and his wife Sharon of Raynham. She also leaves six sisters Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Schuttauf of Taunton, Mrs. Glenn (Bernice) Andrews of Washington D.C., Mrs. Phil (Marjorie) Whitney of New York, Mrs. Monty (Dorothy) Musser of Florida, Mrs. Mills (Janice) Davis of Florida, Mrs. Rodney (Carolyn) Kite of Nicaragua, also the late Roberta and Roger King. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11am at the Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St (off Tremont St). Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
