Obituary

Alfredo “Alfred” DiMascio, 98 of the North End of Boston died Saturday after a brief illness in the North End Community Nursing Home Boston, MA.

Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Solidea (DiMascio) DiMascio.

Mr. DiMascio was a Crane Operator for 70 years and employed by Operating Engineer Local 4 and worked with various construction companies in the Boston Area and retired in 1970.

Mr. DiMascio was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 4.

Beloved husband of Elena (Cotecchia) DiMascio of Boston. Father of Norina DiMascio of Boston, Al DiMascio and his wife Loretta of Lexington. Loving grandfather of Lea and Michael DiMascio. Brother of Giovanni DiMascio of Medford and the late Domenic, Giuseppe, Carmine and Romeo DiMascio.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 9:45 AM in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden. Relatives and friends may visit Sunday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
