Obituary

Samuel J. Bordinelli, 94 years of Brockton died October 7, 2008 in the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center Brockton after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Sam has been a longtime resident of Brockton. He worked for more than 25 years for the Goddard Hospital in Stoughton as Assistant Head Housekeeper and retired in 1979.
While in good health Sam was a daily communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick's Church and a former member of the Brockton Eagles Bowling League. Sam enjoyed working with tools especially in his own home and on his cars; and could be found gardening and doing yard work. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends especially his caregivers; Patricia Tierney and Mary Jo Young both of Attleboro.

He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy A (St. Jacques) Bordinelli; and survived by his loving daughter and caregiver Mary D. Bordinelli of Brock ton; his son Joseph S. of Vermont; his sister Helen Socia of Lawrence and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Mary Cunningham, Viola Deyeso, Josephine Muscello, and Anna Sapio.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton Friday at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8pm.
