Rose M. LaVerde, 84 of Somerville, died Saturday after a brief illness in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford, MA. Born in Boston, she lived in Somerville since 1963 and was formerly of the North End of Boston. Rose was the daughter of the late Mariantonia (Annese) and Emanuel LaVerde. Devoted mother of John LaVerde and his wife Jayna of Lynnfield. Loving sister of Rosilie Marshall of Medford, Rita Azulay of Somerville, Rose Marie Scolletta of Medford, Antonetta Reppucci of Arlington, and the late Philamena Alegata, Mary Ann DeLuca, Josephine Sirignano, Angetina Marcley, Anthony and Christy LaVerde. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
