WORCESTER-Chester J. Davidson, 78, of 309 Mill Street died Wednesday, April 9th at home after a battle with cancer. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Carol A. (Jones) Davidson; 2 sons, Glen and Michael Davidson both of Worcester; a daughter, Lynn Fisher of Shrewsbury; 2 sisters, Lucy Weinhold of Shrewsbury and Irene Chanis of Worcester; 4 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 3 brothers, Edward, Charles and Joseph Davidson predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of John and Sophia (Cutsva) Davidson and lived here all his life. He graduated from South High School, where he was an all-city football player, and Clark University. He was a WWII Marine Corp. veteran serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. Mr. Davidson worked for Q Media in Westboro for a 1 ½ before becoming ill. Previously, he worked for Omni Resources for 15 years and Norton Company for 18 years. He was an avid bowler.
The funeral will be Monday, April 14th at 11:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on the morning of the funeral.
