Obituary

TEWKSBURY—John J Riley, 64 years old, a resident of Tewksbury, died Wednesday evening at the Lowell General Hospital, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Frances (Langill) Riley, with whom he would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary in July of this year.

He was born in East Boston, on April 7th, 1939, a son of the late Joseph F. and Mafalda F. (Giammatteo) Riley, and was a graduate of Boston English High School. He also attended classes at Bentley College.

Mr. Riley had been employed for over 43 years at the Logan Airport Air Mail Terminal, in Boston, retiring only recently because of his illness.

Surviving him besides his wife are two sons: Mark Riley, of Mount Juliet, TN; and Michael Riley, of Boston; a brother: Robert J. Riley, of Lowell; two granddaughters: Alyssa Megan Riley and Lisa Jung Riley; a niece and nephew: Jason Riley and Marcy Little; and two aunts: Nora D’Innocenzo, and Victoria O’Grady, both of Millis, MA.

Friends may call from 3 until 7 PM on Sunday, April 13th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38), Lowell, MA. His Funeral Services to be held Monday morning, April 14th, at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial in the Tewksbury Cemetery, Tewksbury, MA.
