In Taunton, October 3, 2008 Robert M. Scully Sr. died at Morton Hospital in Taunton at the age of 75. He was the husband of Arline M. (Hayes) Scully of Musket Road in Taunton. Born in Taunton, Robert was the son of the late John & Julia (Lacombe) Scully. Robert was a graduate of Coyle High School class of 1952, after graduating from school he joined the U.S. Army. Robert was a retired Metal Spinner for Gorham Manufacturing in Smithfield, RI. He was a member of the Norton Country Club where he loved to play golf; he also enjoyed playing Bocci, Cards, Camping and Scuba Diving. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife Arline, Robert leaves four children #1 Joanne Patenaude of Taunton, #2 Patricia LeClerc and her husband Edward of Taunton, #3 Kathy Puchol and her husband Paul of Mashpee and #4 Robert M. Scully Jr. and his wife Toni of Middleboro. Grandfather of Carolyn Meunier of Middleboro, Eddie, Rachel, Brooke LeClerc all of Taunton, Jessica Westgate of Taunton, Kyle, Sydney Puchol of Mashpee, Bobbi Marie Scully of Middleboro, Taryn Dion of Lynn and Joseph Dion of Reading. Great Grandfather of Andrew, Kaitlyn, Keith Meunier of Middleboro, Ty LeClerc of Taunton, Caleb and Mason Dion of Reading. Brother of John Scully of Raynham, Edward Scully of Taunton, Jean Moore of Fla and the late Gerry Scully. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday October 8th at 10 am. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church in Taunton at 11 am. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 pm. Interment Cedar Knoll Cemetery in East Taunton.
