Obituary

WORCESTER-Earl F. Coleman, 82, of Worcester, died Saturday, October 4th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. His wife of 44 years, Nobue (Yoshii) Coleman died in 1997. He leaves two sons, Donald F. Coleman and his wife Aracely of Everett and Edward J. Coleman and his wife Carol of Auburn; two daughters, Betty A. Bachand and her husband Robert of Cary, NC and Caroline F. Coleman of Worcester; four grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. His brother, Al “Babe” Coleman, predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Clarence A. and Mary E. (Shea) Coleman. Mr. Coleman was a forklift operator at TJ Maxx for 20 years, retiring in 2001. He previously worked for Farnsworth Merchandise Storage for 30 years. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. While serving in the U.S. army Hospital in Osaka, Japan he met his wife, Nobue and moved to Clover Street in Worcester, where he had lived since 1953. Mr. Coleman enjoyed playing the lottery, yardwork, spending quality time with his beloved granddaughter, “Baby Theresa”, grocery shopping with his daughter Caroline and babysitting little Seamus. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the VNA and staff of Rose Monahan Hospice Home for their care and support.

Funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
