WORCESTER-Joseph F. Cohane, 61, of Worcester, died Friday, October 3rd in St. Mary Health Care Center. He leaves his wife of 41 years, Helen E. (Magee) Cohane; a son, Robert J. Cohane and his wife Kenya of Worcester; a daughter, Lisa M. Leach and her husband Ronald of Worcester; a sister, Joan Ruffing of Lawrenceville, GA; two grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Cohane.
He was born in Boston, the son of Joseph D. and Mary (Bligh) Cohane and graduated from Boston English High School and Worcester State College. Mr. Cohane worked in the Heating and Air Conditioning Department of Worcester State College, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
The funeral is Monday, October 6th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be private. Calling hours are from 4:00 until 8:00 Sunday, October 5th in the funeral home.
