Albert M. Poliseno, Sr., 75 years of Brockton and Lauderhill, FL, died October 3, 2008. He was the husband of Page E. (Bradshaw) Poliseno. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, he was the son of the late Amato and Emilia (LaBate) Poliseno. He was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1952. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Navy and served for 24 years. He served on the USS Pittsburg, Battleship Iowa, and New Jersey. He was also stationed at Norfolk Naval Air Station and Weymouth Naval Air Station. Following his retirement from the Navy in 1975, Al opened Brockton Fine Jewelers, which he ran with his wife Page, retiring in 1994. He retired to Lauderhill, FL and was employed by Publix Supermarket. Al was a member of the Oakland Park Elks and Moose Club in Lauderdale Lakes.
As well as his wife Page of 54 years, he is survived by two sons Michael and his wife Jackie of Hanover and Dean and his companion Sue of Sharon; two daughters Karen and Kimberly Poliseno both of Brockton; six grandchildren, Ryan and Hannah; Christopher, Nicholas and Gina; and Amelia; one sister Rose Piver, two brothers his twin brother Roland and Carmen and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Sam, Amundo, Americo “Rico”, and Gloria Gracewicz.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Christ The King Parish/ St. Colman Church at 9am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8pm.
