Grace A. Chardo, 84 of Medford, died Tuesday after a brief illness at her daughter’s home in Hanover, MA.
Born in Boston, she was a life long resident of Medford and the daughter of the late Anna (Foti) and Frank Bicchieri. Grace was a member of the Medford Emblem Club, St. Joseph Church Sodality, Hanover Senior Center. She also was a Bingo caller at the Medford Senior Club and was a Poll worker for many years in the Medford elections. Beloved wife of the late Anthony R. Chardo. Devoted mother of Mary Anne (Chardo) Johnson of Hanover, Patricia Grace of West Concord, Anthony “Butch” Chardo Jr. and his wife Toni Marie of Medford. Loving grandmother of Robert Johnson and his wife Lauren, Andrew Johnson, Nicole, Brian, and Patrick Cannava, Rachel and David Chardo and the late Jennifer Grace Ford. Loving great grandmother of Devin Cannava. Sister of Anthony Bicchieri of Saugus. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD FRIDAY at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 2 thru 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
