Robert J. Begin, 80, of Manchester, died September 27, 2008 at his residence after a sudden illness.
He was born in Manchester on September 13, 1928, the son of Henry and Annette (Huard) Begin. He lived most of his life in this city and was educated in the local school system, graduating from Manchester High School West in 1947.
He was a Korean War veteran, having served four years in the US Navy. He retired from Felton Brush Co. in 1992 after several years of service.
Robert was predeceased by a daughter Kathleen Ann, who died in 1969.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann (Murphy) Begin of Manchester; one daughter, Roberta Begin Plourde of Concord, NH; three sons, David Begin and his wife Diane of Berlin, John Begin of California, Adam Begin and his wife Frederique of Concord, MA; five grandchildren, Jeremy Begin of Manchester, Carol Begin of Manchester, Tyler Begin and Chelsea Begin, both of Berlin, Teo Begin of Concord, MA; one great-grandson, Jeremiah Begin of Manchester.
Funeral services were private and at a later date.
