WORCESTER-Mark S. Griffin, 51, of Worcester, died Friday, September 26 in St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness. He leaves two children, Janie and Matthew; his parents, Donald J. Griffin, Sr. and Lillian D. (Ethier) Griffin of Oxford; six brothers, Donald J. Griffin, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Paxton, Thomas P. Griffin and his wife Judith of Worcester, Gerald M. Griffin and his wife Susan of Worcester, George L. Bayrouty, Jr. and his wife Vicki of Worcester, James D. Bayrouty of Ridgewood, NJ and Thomas M. Bayrouty, Sr. and his wife Colleen of Southbridge. He also leaves several nephews, nieces and grandnieces with whom he enjoyed spending time.
He was born in Worcester, son of Barbara (Malia) Griffin who predeceased him. Mark attended Burncoat High School and recently became certified at Adcare Hospital as a counselor. He was a member of Triumphant Life Church and was an avid sports fan.
The funeral will be held on Monday, September 29 from Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Service at 10:00 AM in Triumphant Life Church, 102 Randolph Rd. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, September 28 from 2-5 PM in the funeral home.
